Since I use Vista for about a Year now, I wanted to share a Dockicon which makes Vista a little bit more easier.
I have a TaskManager Icon in my Dock because when you type "Alt+Ctrl+Del" theres first a Screen where you have to choose the Taskmanager from.
That was to difficult for me, so I put the Manager in my Dock where I can fast open it up.
Here is how you also can do that (if you don´t know)
Open "Start" and type "taskmgr" the taskmgr.exe will appear, drag it to your dock, and youll notice why I made this Icon, its a crappy low-res Icon, since the average Vista users does not see this Icon to much
Now you can replace it with my little shiny Icon.
Hope you´ll like it...
Edit: I forgot to mention that this is 2Core
Edit2: Changed the Shine on the Second Icon and made it a little less "agressive", choose what you like
a good idea to begin with, but your gradients seem a little too improper for natural lighting. Id try dragging your gradient for the shine from the top (white) fading out toward the bottom of your curve. Much like my little avatar here.
going with a curve on the image gives your emblem a more convex look to it. and with convex, your lighting would usually bounce around the edges, which would imply the curve.
End Constructive Criticism..
other than that. i like the idea. i play a lot of games and am always alt tabbing to get into task manager.
My right hand is faster than my left
